Creative Writing Festival Celebrates its Tenth Anniversary with Keynote Paul Lisicky and Featured Readers Aracelis Girmay and Rachel Eliza Griffiths
The 2017 Creative Writing Festival's Conference Day (Friday, April 28, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) will feature readings by poet Aracelis Girmay, author of Kingdom Animalia and The Black Maria; photographer and poet Rachel Eliza Griffiths, author of Lighting the Shadows and creator of the video project P.O.P. (Poets on Poetry); a keynote address by Paul Lisicky, author of New York Times Editors' Choice The Narrow Door and instructor in the MFA Program at Rutgers University-Camden; and a moderated Q & A between conference attendees and these featured guests, followed by a reception and book signing. Deadline for the 2017 Creative Writing Awards for College Writers:

Entries for the 2017 Creative Writing Awards for College Writers are being accepted up until February 17, 2017. Designations for first, second, and third place will be awarded to students in four genres (poetry, short fiction, one-act play, and creative nonfiction), and the winners will be printed in East End Elements, the student-curated literary magazine of SCCC's Eastern Campus.
